Inductive coupling works on the principles of electromagnetism: When a current (electricity) passes
through a wire, it generates a magnetic field perpendicular to the wire. This effect can be magnified through coiling the wire.When a wire is in proximity to a magnetic field, it generates a current in that wire. Transferring energy between wires through magnetic fields is inductive coupling. Magnetic fields decay quickly , making inductive coupling effective only at very short ranges .

    The idea of wireless generation and transmission of power is in experiment from a long time. Here, in this paper we are trying to develop a proper device that can generate voltages and then transmit them wirelessly through a local network (after that our next stage will be to expand it to global
scale) in the RF range for household electricity requirement. Ongoing engineering revolutions going in field of transmission and distribution will help us to make this dream to come in reality. The person who first paved the way of dreaming wireless power is NIKOLO TESLA. In 1888 he developed the principles of his Tesla coil and began working with his ideas for polyphase systems, which would allow
transmission of AC electricity over large distances. The connection would be made by electrostatic induction or conduction through plasma. Tesla firmly believed that Wardenclyffe would permit wireless transmission and reception across large distances with negligible losses. But after lighting vacuum tubes wirelessly, he provided us with enough evidence of the potential and feasibility of wireless power transmission network.

Finger print security system


This is the circuit designed as a hobby project. Here, a fingerprint module has been automated to create an automated fingerprint security system. This circuit uses the Atmel IC 2051 i.e. AT89C2051 an 8-bit micro controller IC.AT89C2051 is a low voltage, high performance CMOS 8-bit microcomputer with 2K bytes of flash programmable and erasable read-only memory (PEROM).It has operating range from 2.7V to 6V. AT89C2051 is also equipped within by a 128x8-bit internal RAM and two 16-bit counters. Also, general purpose switching and amplification transistors BC547 have been used in the circuit.

LEGO Mindstorms Sudoku Solver


Swedish hacker [Hans Andersson] is no stranger to puzzle-solving robots. His prior work, A Rubik’s cube-solving robot called Tilted Twister, made waves through the internet last year. [Hans’] latest project only has to work in two dimensions, but is no less clever. This new robot, built around the LEGO Mindstorms NXT system, “reads” a printed sudoku page, solves the puzzle, then fills out the solution right on the same page, confidently and in ink. It’s a well-rounded project that brings together an unexpected image scanner, image processing algorithms, and precise motor control, all using standard NXT elements.
The building instructions have not yet been posted, but if the video above and the directions for his prior ’bot are any indication, then we’re in for a treat; he simply has a knack for explaining things concisely and with visual clarity. The source code and the detailed PDF diagrams for Tilted Twister are as gorgeous as his new robot’s penmanship.
